In honor of our District’s Golden Anniversary, a special 50th logo was designed along with a theme for the school year—50 Years of Promising Futures…Building a Legacy of Leaders. As we were researching our district’s history a theme began to develop. It became obvious that almost half of our campuses are named after national, Texas, and local leaders. The District’s newest elementary, Juan Seguin, is named after the Tejano hero of the Texas Revolution who was elected to the Texas Senate in 1839 and eventually became mayor of San Antonio. You can learn more about this great leader and others on the links to this webpage.

Those who have come before us have paid their dues and enabled FBISD to experience success. We want to continue to build a legacy of leaders in our classrooms today.

We also have important information linked to this webpage about the FBISD Board History and Superintendents who have served our district in these leadership roles in the past, and those who continue to serve in these positions today.
